A Perfect Union
If Wawa and water ice aren’t part of your lexicon, you may be unfamiliar with the concept of the Union League of Philadelphia. Originally founded in 1862 to support Abraham Lincoln and the Union side in the Civil War, this social club continues to thrive, and its holdings now include three Philly-area golf properties. The most bombastic of these is Union League National, a 27-hole Fry-Straka design just north of Cape May, on the Jersey Shore. Shades of Pine Valley, Calusa Pines, Caledonia and Tobacco Road can be seen at this delightfully off-the-wall private hideaway, and this fall, the Broken Tee Society has scored a coveted invite. Join us down the Shore for an all-day thrill ride.
