Out for a Drive
Every shot counts—and on this trip, so does every second. We’re heading back to the desert for another long weekend of golf and motorsports, where members can test their driving skills on three famous tracks. We kick the weekend off with 18 holes at the PGA West Mountain Course and VIP hospitality at the PGA Tour’s American Express. On Sunday morning, we’ll be hugging corners and smoking tires in a series of BMW M-class models at BMW’s Performance Driving School, then heading back to the tournament to take in the final round in the VIP section. Best of all—on Monday, we’ll go from spectators to competitors and play the Stadium Course under tournament conditions.
Itinerary
Saturday, January 18
Mountain Course + AMEX Hospitality
Arrive at the La Quinta Resort, host facility of The American Express and home base for the next two nights. Late this morning, we’re on the tee for 18 holes at PGA West’s Pete Dye Mountain Course, which winds through the rocky outcroppings of the Santa Rosa Mountains. For those interested, VIP hospitality is available at the PGA Tour’s American Express tournament, being played at the Stadium Course next door. This offering includes entrance to the Dye Club hospitality venue at PGA West’s famed “Alcatraz” 17th hole, plus complimentary food and beverage.
Sunday, January 19
Driving Experience + AMEX Hospitality
Take a 20-minute drive east into the desert and a morning at the BMW Performance Driving School in Thermal, CA. After an introductory classroom tutorial, the group will split into two sections and hit the track for a series of laps, challenges and time trials. All members will have the chance to get behind the wheel of the BMW M240i and M340i.
This afternoon, we return to the La Quinta complex and enjoy VIP access to the final round at The American Express.
Monday, January 20
PGA West Stadium Course
After watching the best in the world, now, it’s our turn. The group will enjoy 18 holes of golf on PGA West’s Stadium Course under tournament conditions, with the grandstands and full tournament infrastructure still in place.
Bring your A game, as the player with the lowest combined lap time from yesterday’s time trial and net score on the course today will be crowned the Monday Finish champion.

Registration Rules
- You must be an active premium member to sign up for BMW @ PGA West.
- Premium members can place reservation requests from 11/19 @ 7 PM ET to 11/22 @ 9 AM ET.
- You may request up to two spots, but all guests must be active premium members only.
- All participants must be 18 years or older with a valid U.S. drivers license.
- Singles are encouraged to place reservation requests. Singles will be randomly paired with groups.
- Submitting more than one request will not increase your chances of being chosen. Duplicates will be removed.
- Entries must be paid within 24 hours of receiving the notification email to avoid forfeiting your position in the event.

Yes. Upon selection and payment, you will be able to secure additional nights (Friday or Monday nights). Please reach out to membership@golfersjournal.com to secure an additional night. All rooms are subject to availability.
Additional guests may be permitted to stay at La Quinta Resort, but will not have access to the daily activities.
Golf:
Players of all skillsets and handicaps are welcome to register. We only ask you are respectful, have fun and keep up with the group ahead of you. There will be double-bogey max scoring in place.
Driving:
If pushing the limits, fast driving and smoking tires isn’t your idea of fun, this might not be for you.
Yes, all guests must be active Premium members. The best way to bring a non-member guest is to gift them a Premium membership.
Yes, you will be paired with another BTS member at random.
If you have another person or team you’d like to be grouped with, please submit the request on the Guest Details form on the Players Room following your purchase.
Pricing is per person. Refunds will be processed once the spot is filled, minus a 5% processing fee.
