Fourth Gear

On the old Bridgehampton Race Circuit, the best drivers always asked for another run. So did we, and we’re back for a fourth lap around The Bridge, an 18-hole white-knuckle ride built atop the ruins of Long Island’s fabled racetrack. Rees Jones shaped those racing lines into a course that holds its own definition of cool with long climbs, sharp drops, bold turns and the club’s trademark mix of modern art tucked into the landscape. It’s heavy-metal golf meets modern art, and invites don’t come easy. Join us this May for another spin on this supercharged track.

How many spots can I purchase?

You may purchase up to four spots.

Does my guest have to be a member?

Yes, all guests must be active Premium TGJ members. The best way to bring a non-member guest is to gift them a Premium TGJ membership.

Can I attend as a single?

Yes, almost 50% of event attendees are singles. Bring a friend or come make some new ones. Otherwise, you will be paired with another BTS member at random.

Will I be walking or riding during the event?

The Bridge is walking only and caddies are mandatory. Your entry covers caddie fees for your round. Caddie gratuity is not included.

Gratuity is at the player’s discretion, with a suggested range of $80–$100 based on service.

Caddies will only be available during the 18-hole round, not on the short course.

Can I request to be paired with another twosome?

Yes. If you’d like to be grouped with a specific player or twosome, please submit your request via the Guest Details Form in the Players’ Room after completing your registration.

Are there handicap / skill requirements?

Players of all skill levels are welcome. All we ask is that you:

  • Have fun
  • Respect the game and your fellow players
  • Keep up with the group ahead

We will use a double-bogey max scoring format to keep pace moving and rounds enjoyable. We require a GHIN or other accredited handicap to participate in the NET division.

What is the nearest airport to the Bridge?

The closest airport is Long Island MacArthur Airport, located approximately 47 miles from the course.

For those considering alternate options, John F. Kennedy International Airport is about 90 miles away and may offer more flexible flight times or rental car availability.

  • Rideshare services and rentals are available at both.
  • If you’re looking to carpool with fellow BTS members, drop a note in the Clubhouse / App in the Bridge Player’s Room—we’re always happy to connect travelers.

What is the cancellation policy?

All pricing is listed per person.

If you need to cancel your spot, please email us at events@golfersjournal.com.

  • Refunds will be issued only if your spot is filled by another participant.
