The Golfer's Journal is pleased to invite you to

Quaker Ridge

June 3, 2024 | Scarsdale, NY

Tilly’s Treasure

If golf courses can be judged by the company they keep, then Quaker Ridge should be pinned to the top of any list. A. W. Tillinghast’s sparkling Golden Age design lies across the street from Winged Foot, and a mere two miles from Wykagyl and Fenway. Golf has deep roots in the rocky, rolling ground of suburban Gotham, and the 18 world-class holes at Quaker Ridge showcase the best that this tiny golfing zip code has to offer. Plus, Gil Hanse’s expert reno means you’ll play the course the way Tilly intended: open views, specimen hardwoods, and firm, fast approaches to devious greens. Our 2023 outing only confirmed what we suspected: When Quaker calls, you answer.

Coast to Coast

Close followers of the Events calendar will have noticed that June 3 is a big day in the Broken Tee Society. In addition to the Quaker Ridge event, there’s also a BTS takeover at Chambers Bay. More details on a first-of-its-kind, coast-to-coast competition forthcoming, but players in each location will be keeping a close eye on the scores rolling in from the opposite side of the country.
