The Fair City’s finest

This September, the Broken Tee Society crosses the Irish Sea to the storied shores of Dublin, a city where history and links golf intertwine as easily as conversation in a pub. For seven days, we’ll call The Mont Hotel home—nestled in the heart of the city and perfectly placed for exploring both its cobblestone charm and its nearby world-class links. From here, our guide and A Course Called Ireland author Tom Coyne we’ll lead us to play the greats: Jameson, Portmarnock, County Louth, Royal Dublin, The Island, and Corballis.

Each course offers its own kind of magic—some refined, some rugged, all shaped by wind, tide, and time. Between rounds, we’ll be surrounded by pints, music, and the easy charm that makes Dublin impossible to leave. With private transport, lodging, and tee times handled, there’s nothing left but to pack your clubs and prepare for a week steeped in true Irish lore.

Trip Itinerary

Monday, September 14

Arrival & Jameson

Touch down in Dublin and meet your driver from Travel Ireland Coaches for private transfer to The Mont Hotel, your home for the week. After check-in, we’ll play our opening round at Jameson Golf Links, set on the old family estate that gave the world its whiskey. The sea breeze hits first, then the realization that you’re really here playing your opening shots on Irish soil. That evening, we’ll gather for dinner in the hotel at Sin Bin Bar to toast the adventures ahead.

Tuesday, September 15

Portmarnock

Our first full day will be spent playing one of the world’s most revered links and rumored addition to The Open Championship rota. Take Bernard Darwin’s word for just how good Portmarnock is: “I know of no greater finish in the world than that of the last five holes at Portmarnock.” Back in Dublin, the evening is yours—wander the streets, find a pub, and see where the night leads.

Wednesday, September 16

County Louth

We’ll travel north along the coast toward Baltray to play County Louth, one of the top courses on the Emerald Isle and home of the 2025 East of Ireland Championship. It’s golf in its purest form: firm turf, bold contours, and a landscape that feels untouched.

Thursday, September 17

Royal Dublin

Today brings a walk through history at Royal Dublin, which dates to 1885 and is the third-oldest golf club in Ireland. This storied course on Bull Island has hosted countless Irish Opens, with champions like Seve Ballesteros and Bernhard Langer. H.S. Colt’s design was updated in 2006 and was used by Padraig Harrington to prep the week before each of his Open Championship victories.

Friday, September 18

The Island

Rugged, remote, and nearly surrounded by sea, aptly-named The Island is a classic links full of drama and character. Its dunes rise and fall like waves, and its 14th hole—“the skinniest fairway in golf”—will test how well our games have adjusted. Bring your best swing and a camera.

Saturday, September 19

Corballis & Farewell Dinner

Our final round brings us to Corballis, a century-old course celebrated by Tom Coyne in A Course Called Ireland for its charm and authenticity. Compact and full of joy, it’s the perfect exhale after a week of grand adventures. That evening, we’ll gather for a private farewell dinner near the hotel at Hugo’s, raising one last glass to Dublin.

Sunday, September 20

Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Dublin Airport for departure. The city will fade in the rearview, but its songs—and its links—will stay with you long after wheels up.
