It might come as a surprise that the oldest golf course on Nantucket is also its most affordable. Siasconset Golf Course—otherwise known as Old Sconset—was first laid out over farmland in 1894. Through two world wars, a Depression, and every wave of development that’s washed over this island, the course never closed, never went private and has remained affordable for anyone on the island in search of a charming, soulful, nine hole walk.
On June 2nd, the day before 100+ Broken Tee Society members take on Sankaty Head down the road, we are buying out Old Sconset for the afternoon. From 1:30pm until the sun drops into the harbor, it’s yours. Unlimited golf and great company at one of golf’s most quietly special special venues. If you’re getting to the island a day early—or just looking for an excuse to hop on the ferry—we hope to see you there.
Price
$50 per person. Unlimited golf from 1:30 p.m. until sunset.
Sconset is typically $85 per 18 holes.

How do I register?
- Complete payment of $50 to secure your spot in the meetup.
- You must be an active TGJ member.
Who can attend?
- This event is open to TGJ members only.
- All guests in your group must also be active Premium members.
What should I know before I arrive?
- Siasconset Golf Course, affectionately known as Sconset Golf, is located at 260 Milestone Road, Nantucket, MA 02554.
- The course is walking only, some pull carts are available.
- The dress code is private club attire. No denim, no sandals, and shirts must be tucked in.
How is the event played?
- We have bought out the course from 1:30 pm until sunset (approximately 8:00 pm).
- The meetup will be free play with your groups.
- We will run a closest to the pin challenge on the 4 par threes, followed by a playoff closest to the pin.
What does my entry fee cover?
- Included:
- Unlimited afternoon golf
- Dinner from BTS
- Golden Road beer on the course
- Not included:
- Travel, transportation, and lodging
- Alcoholic beverages on the course beyond Golden Road beer and any pro shop purchases are at your own expense
What if I need to cancel?
- Pricing is per person. Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event are subject to a 7% processing fee.
- Cancellations made within 30 days are subject to a 15% fee and will only be refunded once the spot is filled.
