North Shore’s greens have been fooling players for a century, so we’re enlisting some experts to help out. Every twosome in the field will be paired with an Evans Scholars caddie, free of charge, thanks to the generosity of our friends at BMW and the Western Golf Association.
Since 1930, the Evans Scholars Foundation has provided young caddies with college tuition and housing scholarships at some of the most prestigious institutions across the Midwest. We’re proud to be partnering with this historic foundation, and know that these caddies will enhance an already special day at North Shore.

Generational Talent
Upon finding a permanent home for their club in the early 1920s, the members of North Shore spared no expense, bringing in the firm of Colt, Alison, and MacKenzie to design a top-tier layout. C.H. Alison delivered exactly that, and the golf world took notice. Over the years, the club has hosted the following events:
- 1928 Western Open
- 1933 U.S. Open
- 1939, 1983 U.S. Amateur
- 2011 Western Amateur
- 2013-2015 Encompass Championship (PGA Tour Champions)
