Marion

Where It All Began

Before George C. Thomas became the king of Los Angeles for his work at Riviera, LACC, and Bel-Air, he built a nine-holer on a farm in Marion, Massachusetts. The year was 1904, and what he built has been virtually untouched since: a quirky, stark layout where stone walls from the old farm still run through fairways and front greens. Locals call it “Little Marion,” and it nearly closed a few years ago before a group of neighbors stepped up to save it. This October, join us for two loops around, lobster rolls, and a par-3 contest to cap it off.
