Tucked into the tidal marshes and live oaks of the Lowcountry, Coore & Crenshaw’s ground-hugging layout is one of South Carolina’s quiet masterpieces. The BTS crowned its Club Champion here last year and has been itching for a return to its hidden bunkers and wild greens ever since. This October, we’re back for a full two days: 18 holes on the main course, a crack at The Scurry, the club’s 12 hole new short course, on-site lodging in the cottages, and Chechessee Creek Teas on the porch when the day is done.

How to Register
- You must be a Premium TGJ member to sign up for Chechessee Creek.
- Premium members can place reservation requests from August 11 at 9 a.m. ET to August 12 at 9 a.m. ET.
- You may request up to four spots.
- Singles are encouraged to place reservation requests.
- Entries must be paid within 24 hours of receiving the notification email to avoid forfeiting your position in the event.

How do I register?
- Registration opens August 11 at 9:00 AM ET and closes August 12 at 9:00 AM ET. The field is selected by random drawing.
- You must be a Premium TGJ member and logged into golfersjournal.com to submit a reservation request. You can request up to four spots per entry.
- If selected, you’ll have 24 hours to complete payment. If you’re not selected, you’re automatically added to the waitlist. There is no set order, and spots are filled at random.

Who can attend?
- This event is open to Premium TGJ members only.
- All guests in your group must also be Premium TGJ members.
- Singles are welcome, and roughly half of our attendees come solo. All skill levels are encouraged to register.
- A GHIN handicap is required to compete in the Net division.
What should I know before I arrive?
- Chechessee Creek Club is located at 18 Chechessee Creek Dr, Okatie, SC 29909.
- The dress code is private club attire. No denim, no sandals, and shirts must be tucked in. Hats are not permitted inside the clubhouse. Jackets are not required at dinner but are encouraged.
- A WHS/GHIN handicap is required for this event. Any attendees who do not have an active WHS/GHIN number will play as a 0.0.
What is the full event schedule?
- October 25
- 11:00 am: Check in at the pro shop and get you settled into your cottage.
- 11:00 am to 12:00 pm: Enjoy lunch at the short course
- 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm: Tee times on the 12 hole short course
- 6:00 pm: Welcome Dinner at the Clubhouse
- Stay the night in the Chechessee Creek Cottages
- October 26
- 7:30 am: Breakfast at the clubhouse
- 8:30 am: Shotgun start on the full course
- 12:30 pm: Lunch and awards
- Check out of your cottage
How is the event played?
- Chechessee Creek Club will be played as individual medal play, with net and gross winners. Enter gross scores only, scored through Golf Genius with a double-bogey max. There are both Net and Gross divisions, with prizes for first through third in each.
- Tees are as follows: Men’s: Blue (6,285 yards), Seniors (60+): White (5,930 yards), and Women’s: Composite (5,217 yards).
What does my entry fee cover?
- Your entry covers a round of golf on the main course, the short course, lunch on the first day, dinner after the round, breakfast, and lunch and awards. Beverages are included during meals, dinner, Golden Road beer on the course, and gifts from TGJ and partners.
- Travel and transportation are not included. Caddie gratuity is not included. Alcoholic beverages on the course beyond Golden Road beer and any pro shop purchases are at your own expense.
What if I need to cancel?
- Pricing is per person. Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event are subject to a 7% processing fee.
- Cancellations made within 30 days are subject to a 15% fee and will only be refunded once the spot is filled.
- If the spot cannot be filled, no refund will be issued.
