2026 BMW Championship Preview Play
Sixteen BTS members will play Bellerive Country Club before the PGA Tour’s best arrive for the BMW Championship in August. Known as “the Green Monster of Ladue Road,” this Robert Trent Jones Sr. design has hosted a U.S. Open and two PGA Championships, cementing its place as one of America’s premier championship tests. Rees Jones sharpened his father’s 1960 masterpiece, but the test remains the same: big, physical, and built around some of the largest greens in golf. You’ll play it in June, then return in August with a grounds pass to watch the pros tackle the same course—all courtesy of our friends at BMW.

How to Register
- You must be a TGJ member to sign up for the BMW Championship Preview Play event.
- Members can place reservation requests from March 8 at 9 a.m. ET to March 12 at 9 a.m. ET.
- You may request one spot.
- Entries must be confirmed within 24 hours of receiving the notification email to avoid forfeiting your position in the event.

Event Registration & Waitlist Policy
TGJ member events have a limited number of spots. Here’s how registration works:
How to Request a Spot
• Reservation requests open at a set time and close at the deadline.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to select your party size and enter your details.
• You must be a TGJ member and logged in to your golfersjournal.com account to submit a request.
Selection & Payment
• The field is chosen by random drawing. Selected members will be notified via email or text.
• If selected, you have 24 hours to confirm your attendance.
• Failure to confirm will result in automatic forfeiture of your spot.
Automatic Waitlist
• All unselected members are automatically added to the waitlist—no extra steps are needed.
• If a spot opens, a new member will be randomly selected from the waitlist.
• There is no set order to the waitlist.
• Members who miss the initial registration window are welcome to join the waitlist at anytime prior to the event.
How will I be notified?
Winners will be notified by email & SMS (if BTS text message alerts are enabled).

Will I be walking or riding?
All players will be riding in a golf cart, included in the event.
Are caddies available?
Caddies are not available.
Are push carts available?
Yes, push carts are available upon request prior to the date of the event.

Are there handicap / skill requirements?
Players of all skillsets and handicaps are welcome to register. We only ask you are respectful, have fun and keep up with the group ahead of you.
There will be double-bogey max scoring in place.
We require a GHIN or other accredited handicap to participate in the NET division.
Where should I stay?
We recommend booking at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, located at 100 Carondelet Plaza, St. Louis, MO 63105. It’s about 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Bellerive Country Club. We’ve secured a group rate of $299++ for the night of June 8 with checkout on June 9. Standard King and Double Queen rooms are available. Our team will be in touch to help get your room booked.
What is not included?
Airfare, lodging and transportation are not included.
How will other winners be determined?
10 spots will be awarded through this BTS lottery.
