Riddle’s End

The 16th at The Saticoy Club. Par 4 - 339 yards

Two TGJ events at The Saticoy Club in Ventura, CA, have left us no closer to figuring out how to play its subtle and devastating 16th hole. The game plan for this 340-yard dogleg right appears obvious on paper: bomb it over the right bunker, wedge it on and hole the putt. But Saticoy members have dubbed No. 16 “Riddle’s End” for a reason, and it probably has something to do with the rollercoaster fairway and sinister back-to-front green.

Saticoy’s Director of Golf Justin Saragueta cracks open his yardage book to illustrate all the ways you can and can’t escape with a par on one of California’s trickiest holes.
