Bump&Run: 8/22/22

Perks, goodies, and prizes abound in this week’s newsletter. We’re giving away free TSR fittings at Oceanside’s Titleist Performance Institute, cashing out players in our season-long One and Done league, and even inviting members to contribute to TGJ. Plus: new merch!

Bump&Run is the weekly recap of our members-only Discord server.

Members of our Discord server got the chance to register early for our Broken Tee Society × Titleist Member Fitting Day on September 9th.

Our 24 lucky winners, who were selected from over 1,000 entries, will have the chance to visit the Titleist Performance Institute (below), hit (and get fit for) the new TSR driver and fairway metals, enjoy a Vokey wedge experience, and tour the Titleist Club Factory. All free of charge courtesy of our friends at Titleist.

christy longfield + tc on world-class golf

Cypress Point The Last Camper

BTS member and Spanish Oaks teaching pro Christy Longfield joined Tom Coyne fresh off a top-100 binge for the ages. After knocking off Cypress, Pine Valley, and Merion among many others, Christy did not hold back in sharing her unvarnished opinions.

Tune in to hear her thoughts on the world’s best back nine, why Pebble Beach is overrated, and which world-class course’s menu consists of nothing more than “average dude food.”

Listen

cradle to the grave

BTS Member Tripp Pendergast spent last Monday doing something that no one on Earth has ever done: playing over 500 holes of golf at the Cradle at Pinehurst.

Pinehurst Cradle

Tripp’s 505 holes broke the old record of 460, and even though he played every shot with his 53 degree wedge (including putting), he managed 52 birdies and an ace!

Best of all, Tripp’s incredible day and phenomenal fundraising efforts raised close to $20,000 for Youth on Course. Well done, Tripp!
