it only takes one

David Hetherington from Virginia won our 2022 referral game, proving that much like the Powerball lottery, it only takes one ticket to win big. David made one referral this year, and was randomly chosen from over 400 entries as the grand prize winner! He’ll receive a brand new Broken Tee Society Jones stand bag full of custom-fitted Titleist clubs, including:

  • TSR driver
  • TSR fairway woods
  • T-series irons
  • SM9 Vokey wedges
  • Scotty Cameron putter

David was notified of his victory in style, with a phone call from TGJ Senior Editor Tom Coyne. Listen to their chat in the 📢│announcements channel here.

chatter

Lively discussions popped up all over the server last week. Here were a few of our favorites:

  • Grow the game(?): Are we? Can we? Should we? Add your thoughts here.
  • Golf video games: Come for Tiger Woods and Mario Golf, stay for Sid Meier, Mean 18, and other dusty desktop titles.
  • Shoes: Ross, Justin, Baylor, Tyler, and more chimed in with recommendations on the finest on-course footwear. Key takeaways: Jordan ADGs and actual trail running shoes both work as golf shoes, and Hennessy plays an aspirational amount of golf.

an american abroad

Going international? Let the BTS be your guide. In just the past seven days, overseas BTS members offered up a cornucopia of local knowledge:

  • AustraliaFrom Tasmania to Melbourne, our members weighed in on both top tracks and neighborhood gems.
  • Ireland: Lahinch, Ballybunion, Tralee, Waterville, Dooks… the heavy hitters are being discussed. Jump in.
  • Scotland: Planning a trip to the Home of Golf can be overwhelming—let the BTS-recommended trip planners show you the way.
